Cleaning the pump is easy. The pump case cover is removed. Then you can take the pump and rinse it under the tap. Also rinse the pump body, including the water inlet. If you need to get rid of algae or slime, you can scrub the parts with a small brush . Then just put the pump back in its case, close the lid and you're done!

It's a good idea to change the water in your birdbath often to keep slime from building up. Note: Your fountain will perform best when the solar panel and pump are clean and free from dirt or scum.
